Ha Tin Cheong probes into the themes of 'relationship' and 'connection' through this interactive multimedia installation. The work comprises linked triangular sculptures, projected images, and music, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork.
From the moment I was born and have become an individual, I am alone until I leave the world…
Consanguinity – Friendship – Partnership – Matrimony… These terms, expressing relationships among individuals, are easy to comprehend as they state.
However, every soul interprets them distinctively. The discrepancy between individual interpretations of experience and perception often results in different outcomes, generating a series of representations of humanity.
It is painful to tear off part of my soul which once dwelled in your body. Intimacy was gone and two strangers were left behind.
Life is but a dream with its unforeseeable encounters. No matter one chooses to face or accept, eternal solitary is the final end. From all to one.
The work, through the interplay of lights and sound, presents the continuous process of 'Leave', 'Gather', 'Depart', and 'Reunite'.
