Lyric Poetry: Macau Museum of Art Collection of Macau and Portuguese Artists

Presented by the Macau Museum of Art, "Lyric Poetry" is part of the second "China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Art Biennial" and the "Art Macao" series. The exhibition aims to foster Sino-Portuguese artistic exchange through poetic expression, embodying a vibrant cultural atmosphere poised for growth.

The exhibition traces the poetic-led cultural exchange process between Macau and Portuguese artists since the 1980s. It features over 90 exceptional works from the museum's collection, created by 60 artists, including Macau Chinese and Macanese artists, as well as Portuguese artists who have lived in or exhibited in Macau. Featured artists include Adu Buo, Mafalda Butelo, Luís Demée, Ma Yuk On, Carlos Marreiros, and Miu Peng Fei.

Exhibition Highlights

• Artworks: Over 90 pieces/sets, including oil paintings, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, comprehensive material paintings, sculptures, and installations.
• Artistic Fusion: Many artists have experienced the convergence of Chinese and Portuguese artistic traits, influenced by Macau's unique Sino-Western cultural environment. Their works reflect the distinctive flavors of these three cultures.
