To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Macao Museum of Art, the museum collaborates for the first time with a Russian cultural institution to present "Land and People: Masterpieces from the State Tretyakov Gallery, Russia." The exhibition showcases 70 treasured oil paintings and sculptures from the Tretyakov Gallery's collection, spanning from the late 18th to the mid-20th century. All works are by master artists, including Ilya Repin, Ivan Kramskoi, Ivan Shishkin, and Vladimir Makovsky.
The exhibition begins at the entrance with landscape works depicting Moscow and St. Petersburg. As visitors proceed through the galleries, they will encounter artworks capturing Russian culture, natural landscapes, figures from various social strata, and still lifes.
Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Macao Museum of Art, and the State Tretyakov Gallery, Russia.
