Workshop Overview

In Macao's over 400-year history of cultural fusion, a unique culinary culture has emerged, blending elements from Europe, Africa, and Asia—Macanese cuisine. To promote this heritage, the Macao Heritage Ambassadors Association, with funding from the Macao Foundation, is hosting the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop: Tasting Macanese Cuisine." This event responds to public interest in learning about and experiencing the cooking techniques of Macanese gastronomy.

Workshop Details

• Format: Four separate 1.5-hour sessions.
• Dishes Taught: Bacalhau balls (session 1), Minchi (session 2), African chicken (session 3), and Pineapple cake (session 4).
• Menu Coverage: The sessions cover appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
• Fee: MOP 50 per person, per session. Participants can register for multiple sessions or a single one.
• Target Participants: Macao residents aged 15 and above.

• Session 1: Bacalhau Balls 🥧

  • Time: 10:00–11:30

• Session 2: Minchi (Dry Minced Pork) 🍲

  • Time: 11:45–13:15

• Session 3: African Chicken 🍗

  • Time: 14:30–16:00

• Session 4: Pineapple Cake 🍰

  • Time: 16:15–17:45

Important Notes

Participants must present a green health code and a negative antigen test (rapid test) result from the same day.
