Exhibition Overview

As Macao's fashion design industry continues to develop, there is a growing need for a passionate and talented new generation to join and help the sector thrive. To encourage young people to realize their dreams, Macao Fashion Gallery specially presents the "Incubation & Response" Fashion Design and Production Diploma Course Exhibition, showcasing the outstanding works of five local emerging designers.

Background & Purpose

In recent years, the Macao SAR Government has actively promoted the development of the cultural and creative industries. This exhibition, jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, provides a platform to promote the creative concepts of a new generation of design talents and encourage more local young people to join the fashion design industry.

Featured Designers

The five fashion talents participating in this exhibition are Ding Li, Liang Yingxian, Lin Weisen, Lin Jiafan, and Ma Weizi. They have previously won awards including Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, Best Color Matching Award, and Best Craftsmanship Award at the 2013/2014 Fashion Design and Production Diploma Course graduation shows.

Exhibition Highlights

• The works are imbued with the designers' passion and pursuit of fashion, reflecting their daring to think outside the box and their free-spirited character.
• Visitors can appreciate how these emerging talents translate concepts into practice and display their creativity and design thinking in their works.
• A total of sixteen pieces are on display.

About the Diploma Course

The Fashion Design and Production Diploma Course is organized by the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center. It provides students with comprehensive knowledge of fashion design and production. Graduates of the course have the opportunity to present their own designed garments on the stage of the graduation show, putting their learning into practice.
