IN 16 presents a poignant photo exhibition documenting their volunteer mission to a leprosy village in Guangdong, China. The exhibition showcases images captured during a visit to Linglong Village in Kaiping City, home to 52 recovered leprosy patients who have been largely forgotten by society.
On December 14, 2013, IN 16 organized a volunteer trip with 120 participants to Linglong Village, a so-called "leprosy village" in Guangdong. Historically, leprosy patients in China were isolated in remote villages to prevent transmission. Decades later, although cured, many residents remain abandoned by their families and society, living as forgotten elders.
The exhibition aims to extend love and compassion, leveraging Macao's community spirit to raise awareness and care for these marginalized individuals in mainland China.
