Exhibition Overview

Immersion into Niceties of Life is a solo art exhibition by Macau artist Iu Lai Chu. The exhibition features over 30 works, including ceramics, sketches, watercolors, oil paintings, and gouache, all reflecting the artist's life and experiences.

Artist Background

Iu Lai Chu studied in Macau, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Jinan University (Guangzhou), a Master of Education from Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), and a Master of Arts in Comparative and Public History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She is currently pursuing a Western Art Diploma at CUHK's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she resided in Zhongshan, creating paintings and pottery at Bill Arts Workshop and Ye You Liang Qi. Her works have been featured in several joint exhibitions in Hong Kong, and she held her solo exhibition Strolling the Great Bay Area in Zhongshan in 2020.

• Strolling the Great Bay Area Series: Inspired by her travels, this series uses architectural and floral elements to narrate stories of the Greater Bay Area.
• Stepping into the Greater Bay Area: A ceramic installation featuring six pairs of footprints made from six different colored clays, symbolizing a journey towards a shared, beautiful future in the region and reflecting the artist's dedication to her craft.
