'I Am Here – Wong Wai Yi Solo Exhibition' opened on December 16 at Fantasia 10 Creative Garden. The exhibition features over 30 printmaking works by the artist, expressing her personal reflections on human nature.
Wong Wai Yi was born in Macau and holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts (Education) from the Macau Polytechnic Institute. She later pursued a Master's degree in Ceramic Design from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Her works have been featured in numerous group exhibitions, and she has held two critically acclaimed solo exhibitions this year.
Wong describes the protagonist in her works, Alice, as an extension of herself. Alice travels the world every day, keeping everything in her heart. Through this character, Wong aims to reveal her personal world to the audience—showcasing her friends, human aspirations, symbiotic relationships, the ugliness of human nature, greed, and desire.
