Heart to Heart, Meet in Beijing: 2016 Macau High School Students Art Summer Camp

An immersive summer camp designed to foster cultural and artistic exchange between Mainland China and Macau, deepening Macau high school students' understanding of Chinese culture and arts.

• Quota: 30 students
• Self-funded Fee: MOP 1,000 per person (to be paid within 7 days after the selection list is announced)

Eligibility & Application

• Target Participants: Macau high school students from grades 10 to 12 (Senior 1 to Senior 3) with a foundational level of art skills.
• Application Method: Submit the completed application form along with a copy of your ID card, a valid student ID, two recent photos, and one framed personal artwork (this piece will be exhibited during the camp's art exhibition and returned afterwards).
• Selection Criteria: Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements and submit the application materials along with one personal painting (e.g., watercolor, Chinese painting, oil painting).

Program Objectives

• Promote and strengthen cultural and artistic exchanges between Mainland China and Macau.
• Deepen Macau students' knowledge and understanding of Chinese culture, arts, and national conditions.
• Broaden horizons and immerse students in traditional Chinese culture.
• Cultivate students' cultural perception of traditional Chinese arts and enhance their artistic creativity and practical skills.

Program Content

• Chinese Aesthetics: Learn about the philosophy and essence of Chinese aesthetics, experiencing the charm of artistic beauty through various fields such as fine arts, architecture, and folk arts.
• Student Exchange: Interact and exchange ideas with teachers and students from the Tsinghua University High School Art Class. Collaborate on creations and co-host a joint art exhibition for students from both regions, with guidance and critique from professional art instructors.

Participants will be hosted by local friendly families in Beijing.
