Event Purpose
Promote mutual understanding and assistance through the spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity, and friendship. Encourage social virtues of mutual aid and raise awareness for public welfare through charitable donations. Support the Macau SAR Government's call for 'Exercise Together, Build a Healthy Body' and contribute to social harmony.

- Event Name: Happy Run: 2013 BOC Charity Run and Stair Climb
- Race Date: October 6, 2013 (Sunday), 8:00 AM
- Registration Period: September 18–27, 2013
- Quota: 400 participants for Men's/Women's Open Category; 200 participants for Finance/Education Category. Registration closes when full.
- Registration Fee: MOP 150 per person. All fees will be donated in full to local sports and educational institutions.

- Group A: Ages 18–35 (born 1978–1995)
- Group B: Ages 36–45 (born 1968–1977)
- Group C: Ages 46–60 (born 1953–1967)
Race Route
Start at Bank of China Square → Praça de Ferreira do Amaral → Avenida do Comércio → Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van → Praça da Assembleia Legislativa → Rua 25 de Abril → Praça 25 de Abril → Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen → Avenida de Sagres → Rua Cidade de Sintra → Praça de Ferreira do Amaral → Dr. Stanley Ho Avenue (U-turn) → Finish at the Multi-function Hall on the 33rd floor of Bank of China Tower (Total distance: approx. 5000m, including 735 stairs inside the tower).
Note: The entrance to the Bank of China Tower stairs will close at 9:00 AM (one hour after race start).
Prizes & Rewards
- All finishers will receive a commemorative gift.
- Top 5 winners in each category will receive a championship trophy.
- Champion, 1st runner-up, and 2nd runner-up will receive additional prizes.
Bib Collection
October 3–4, 2013 (9:00–13:00; 14:30–18:00) at the Macau China Athletics Association, Macau Olympic Complex.
Competition Committee
A 7-member committee appointed by the organizer will be responsible for all competition-related matters. The committee list will be posted at the starting point on race day.
Important Notes
- Completing all stairs in the Bank of China Tower is challenging. Participants are advised to conduct simulation training.
- The organizer reserves the right of final decision on any matters not covered in these regulations.
Registration Method
- Obtain registration forms in person at the Macau China Athletics Association (Macau Olympic Complex) or any Bank of China Macau Branch outlet. Forms can also be downloaded from the Bank of China Macau website.
- Submit the completed form along with a copy of your ID card to the Macau China Athletics Association (Office hours: 9:00–13:00; 14:30–18:00).
