Show Synopsis
Guardian of the Yellow River is a puppet theatre production based on ancient Chinese mythology. It tells the story of Hebo, the proud and arrogant River God, who abuses his divine power to cause floods and destroy villagers' farmlands. Driven by curiosity, he visits the North Sea, where he is profoundly humbled by the vastness of the ocean and the North Sea God. Witnessing that true reverence is earned not through destructive force but through humility and harmony, Hebo experiences an epiphany about the nature of true guardianship.
