Don't miss the annual Global Game Jam (GGJ) event! This is a perfect opportunity to do something creative and exciting during the Chinese New Year holiday instead of just staying at home.
At each site, the GGJ runs continuously for 48 hours in each time zone, usually beginning at 5:00 PM on the start date and ending at 5:00 PM two days later. On the first day, the annual creative theme and video are announced on-site, followed by a technical briefing from the host. Participants then form teams on the spot and collaborate to create a game related to the theme within 48 hours, which must be uploaded to the official website by the end of the event.
This intense, short-term collaboration aims to spark the wildest and most unrestrained creativity, providing interesting prototypes for future commercial games. Past participants have highlighted the event as a platform to meet and find creative partners, a training ground to unleash creativity and test one's skills, and a valuable learning experience in game development techniques and the joy of game creation.
