The notion of play has long been a crucial factor in our lives, as our doings integrate and unfold in games. When technology advances, the world of gaming has moved away from interactive equipment and manifested in virtual reality.
Artist Gigi Lee has always been obsessed with video games; from the 80s’ Nintendo’s Game Boy, to the mobile games and AR devices of today. The gaming industry has reflected on forty years of technological developments and the changes of human values, at the same time, the game industry continued to shape our economic structure. In place of physical value, the next generation will be driven by the utility of a digital future.
This exhibition investigates the latest gaming technologies with traditional game consoles, by inviting the audiences to rethink on the real and digital world.
