Macau's popular lucky ambassador, 'Galo Rooster', descends upon Taipa Old Town during the Easter season. Through a series of fun and educational activities, including an orienteering challenge, painting workshop, and egg hunt, Galo Rooster leads everyone on a deep exploration of the district's history and culture, spreading luck, joy, love, and hope for a delightful festive celebration.

Activity 1: Galo Rooster x Taipa Old Town Easter Festival Orienteering Challenge

• Date: Sunday, April 14, 2019
• Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Location: Taipa Old Town
• Target Participants: 18 years old or above (open to local residents and tourists)
• Registration Fee: MOP 180 / person
• Prizes:
  • Champion: MOP 1,500 cash prize
  • 1st Runner-up: MOP 1,000 cash prize
  • 2nd Runner-up: MOP 500 cash prize
  • Best Dressed Award: MOP 1,000 dining voucher for 'Restaurante Litoral'
• Team Size:
  • Team format: 4 – 6 people per team
  • Individual registration (organizers will assign participants to teams of 4–6)
• Competition Details:
  • Organizers will set up 'checkpoints' throughout Taipa Old Town. Participants must complete the specified 'checkpoint' challenges.
  • Completing extra bonus 'checkpoints' earns additional points.
  • The team with the highest score wins. In case of a tie, the team with the shortest completion time wins.
  • The competition must be completed within a 2.5-hour time limit. Teams exceeding the limit will be disqualified.
  • All team members must start and reach the finish line together.
  • Participants must complete the competition on foot.

Activity 2: Galo Rooster x Taipa Old Town Easter Festival Painting Workshop

• Date: Saturday, April 20, 2019
• Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (4 sessions, one per hour)
• Location: Taipa Old Town Art Space
• Target Participants: Families and children
• Registration Fee: MOP 250 / parent-child pair (1 adult + 1 child) *Includes material costs

Activity 3: Galo Rooster x Taipa Old Town Easter Festival Egg Hunt

Galo Rooster's mother accidentally left her eggs in different corners of Taipa Old Town. Children must work together to find the colorful eggs and return them to Mother Hen, reuniting the 'Galo' family.
