"Forest of Shadows" is a collaborative art exhibition by artists Li Fengying and Yi Qilei, showcasing 19 illustration works.
The exhibition theme uses the "forest" as a metaphor for the artist's inner faith and art, representing the pillars of her spiritual structure. The forest symbolizes a place away from the hustle and bustle, ideal for spiritual cultivation.
Through Yi Qilei's exquisite brushwork, the exhibition delicately depicts fragments of Li Fengying's adolescence. It aims to create a collision of artistic ideas, spark inspiration, promote Macao's local art scene, provide opportunities for young artists, nurture local artistic talent, and bring art into the community.
The project also hopes to use art creation and painting to influence lives, encouraging the younger generation to experience the embrace of real-world art beyond the virtual network and to engage sincerely with authentic life.
The exhibition content took over two years from conception to completion. It illustrates the spiritual story of artist Li Fengying's youth through illustrations, created in collaboration with her student, Yi Qilei. The story was conceived and created by Li Fengying, who then guided Yi Qilei in its depiction.
