In line with the 2013 policy guidelines to "encourage diverse life experiences and enhance the creativity and innovation capabilities of youth," the Youth Art Gallery under the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau presents "Footprints of Architecture – Liu Yingyi Solo Exhibition" from July 2 to 21, 2013.
This exhibition showcases the works of Liu Yingyi, a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design. Most of the pieces were created during her studies in Hong Kong and include architectural designs, art installations, and sketches. The exhibition traces her journey from initially knowing nothing about architectural design to learning about spatial design and theory, culminating in her degree. It serves as a testament to her years of diligent study and achievements, aiming to help the audience understand the importance of architectural design in our daily lives.
A notable aspect of the gallery's exhibitions is that exhibitors, with the assistance, guidance, and encouragement of gallery staff, are involved in exhibition preparation, promotional material design, and setup. This practice embodies the gallery's mission to provide a space for youth to showcase their talents, share creativity, and cultivate creative thinking and self-confidence.
