The inaugural Macau Print Triennial, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and co-organized by the Macau Print Research Centre, opened at the Old Courthouse in Nape. The exhibition showcases nearly one hundred outstanding print works by over sixty printmakers from eleven Asian countries and regions.
The triennial aims to establish a regular platform for artistic exchange, using the unique artistic language of printmaking to engage in a 'dialogue' with the world. The event is planned to be held every three years, with the goal of attracting more international artists and expanding its scale in future editions, such as in 2015.
The exhibition features works from eleven Asian regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and India.
