Macau has a rich heritage of traditional festivals. Participating in the celebratory activities is a wonderful way to experience the city's joyful atmosphere. The 13th day of the sixth lunar month marks the Feast of Lu Ban (July 28th), also known as 'Master's Day' within the construction industry. On this day, devotees gather at the temple to commemorate Master Lu Ban's contributions to the building trade through rituals such as ringing bells and drums, offering food and flowers, bowing, and ceremonial firecrackers.
The Lu Ban Carpentry Exhibition showcases numerous traditional carpentry tools and housing components passed down and refined by Lu Ban. The exhibition also features a 1-minute video titled 'Lu Ban, Father of Craftsman' and various tool-oriented videos. Visitors can try a mini-game and even get hands-on experience with tools like a pump drill, strap drill, and chalk reel.
