If you are passionate about imagination, the world must be colorful and diverse.
This exhibition is held at the 10 Fantasia Creative Garden as part of the 2014/15 Artist-in-Residence Program, and is also the artist's first solo exhibition. Titled 'Engiroro,' it serves as the first chapter of the annual program. The exhibition revolves around the central theme of "If I Could If," paired with simple and adorable illustrations. The artist hopes that viewers can easily appreciate the works with a mindset of self-questioning, reflection, and creating possibilities.
If time could flow backward, please arrange your life well; because there are no do-overs, please think about the possibilities of 'if' in advance; if you have prepared for 'if,' then nothing will be taken for granted, and everything will become... different.
'Engiroro' is the transliterated name of a little blue monster character. The term 'Mixed Media Art Exhibition' signifies enjoying artworks that are blended together. The artist is not confined to using a single medium, often pairing oil paintings with screws, ceramics with iron wires, or inserting life scenes into spaces. This approach makes her feel that the works become more substantial. Just as in a monotonous life, various external impacts make life richer and etch memories deeply into the mind.
Young artist Chan Yee Lam graduated from the Macao Polytechnic Institute in 2012 with a major in Visual Arts Education, specializing in sculpture. She is currently engaged in exhibition planning, course design, and art direction. She is a member of the Macau Sculpture Society.
