At this time of the year when Spring is in the air, Macau's Dare to Dream gallery invites well-known artist Marco Szeto (Sze To Chi Ming) to exhibit a collection of his paintings entitled Enchanting Flowers. This collection of flower paintings comes from different stages of the artist’s career, executed with different styles and media including Chinese ink and water-colour, oil and pastel.
Marco Szeto's work merges the Oriental with the Occidental, and flows with ease between the traditional and the modern. His flower paintings are vibrant in colour, unconventional in design, and concise in portrayal. The presentation can vary from bold and stabbing hues to light and wispy washes. His brush strokes are fluid, playful, confident, and sure, bringing out the delicate grace of various flowers.
