Presented by the Ark – Association of Macau Art, the "Art Power Convergence: Embrace the Rainbow" is a marathon-style exhibition series that brings together 12 local artists for 6 distinct exhibitions. The theme revolves around hope and recovery, exploring the reflections and revelations brought about by the global pandemic. Through diverse artistic creations, the series aims to spread the vitality and healing power of art to the community.
From Betty Ng: "Rainbows have many colors. Vibrant colors make people happy and joyful. A happy mood can boost immunity and naturally reduce illness. In fact, nature has already provided us with such an environment. Have you noticed? For this exhibition, I used light clay to create colorful flowers, hoping that visitors will also pay more attention to everything nature has prepared for us around us."
From Jose Lau: "After two years of the pandemic, people have grown accustomed to this lifestyle, and all preventive measures have become the norm. However, facing this difficult global situation, a period that has posed severe tests to both life and the socio-economy, everyone has gained insights on how to cope. Everyone has different hopes in their hearts, but at this moment, I believe we all share the same wish: for the pandemic to end quickly. I hope to express, through these works, the collective sentiment for the end of the pandemic, the anticipation for the revival of all industries, and the hope for a swift return to normal life."
The association aims to promote art and culture by organizing various art activities such as exhibitions, lectures, and workshops. It provides a space for Macau residents to learn about art, unleash creativity, and enjoy the fun of creation, thereby enhancing public appreciation for art and quality of life.
