Ark Association of Macau Art (AAMA) presents a series of six exhibitions from January 2022 to January 2023, featuring 12 local artists at the C03 Exhibition Hall, 2nd Floor, Fantasia 10 Creative Garden. Admission is free.
This marathon exhibition series brings together 12 Macau artists who use their creative talents to convey hope after the pandemic. The project aims to spark creative dialogue among artists, facilitating the exchange of ideas and experiences. Through their unique works, local art is promoted to both residents and visitors, allowing the vitality and emotional power of art to reach everyone.
Exhibition: Embrace the Rainbow: After the Pandemic, Something to Tell You
This exhibition features 23 works, using vibrant paintings and digital illustrations to transmit positive energy to viewers. Carol Sam's works reflect a 'new attitude' post-pandemic, prompting reflection on life, relationships, and existence. Celia Si's works allow viewers to feel hope, happiness, and love, aiming to heal their hearts.
Born in Macau in the 1980s, Carol holds a Master's in Social Work and works full-time in social services. She is passionate about integrating art into counseling and social issues. In 2006, she curated the 'Green Life' environmental art project, guiding students to use discarded materials to express their visions for Macau's future. In 2008, she participated in the production and served as art director for the selected Macau documentary 'Female Migrant Workers.' Her creative inspiration stems from life, emotions, and moving experiences. She held the duo exhibition 'Dialogue Between Soft and Hard Moments' in 2018 and the solo exhibition 'Life Goes On' in 2021, and has participated in multiple AAMA member exhibitions (2016-2021). She has taken expressive arts therapy courses in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, hoping to combine this with her social work expertise to utilize the fluidity and healing power of art to help people relieve stress and explore their inner selves.
Born in Fujian, China in the 1980s, Celia is a Macau-based graphic designer. She loved drawing and graphic design from a young age and later became a graphic designer and drawing teacher. Her artistic style often combines bright colors with geometric patterns, primarily creating digital illustrations, but she also works with watercolors, sketches, and oil paintings. Her themes often express joy and happiness, hoping to provide viewers with spiritual cleansing and add artistic color to life. In recent years, she has opened a children's drawing studio and works in art education, teaching and inspiring children's creative thinking, guiding them on a joyful and rewarding artistic learning journey. She actively participates in activities organized by AAMA, including the 'Harmony' and 'New Era' joint exhibitions, using her work to engage in artistic learning and exchange with members to deepen her practice across different artistic fields.
