Exhibition Overview
The inaugural Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibition at Nam Van Lake, titled "Dust Settling," features a trio of young artists: Liang Jiewen, Yan Helin, and Mo Xishi. This exhibition presents a total of 25 works, showcasing the fresh perspectives of a new generation in traditional Chinese ink art.
Featured Artists
- Liang Jiewen is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Fine Arts at the Chinese National Academy of Arts. She specializes in Chinese Gongbi (meticulous) painting, engages in art theory research and creation, and has taught Chinese painting. Her works have been collected by government and private institutions and have been exhibited locally, in mainland China, and internationally.
- Mo Xishi (pen name Xing Yue) holds a Master's degree in Literature and Art from East China Normal University. With years of experience in calligraphy teaching, she is dedicated to promoting traditional culture. Recently, she has engaged in cross-disciplinary collaborations with tea ceremony and leather carving arts to explore the charm of characters.
- Yan Helin majored in landscape painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. He focuses on promoting Chinese painting, calligraphy, and seal carving. His works often feature landscapes and animals and have been exhibited in mainland China, Macao, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, with selections in the "Macao Visual Arts Annual Exhibition" and the "National Fine Arts Exhibition."
