Organized by Fion's Work (Fion's Handmade), the 5th edition of the 'Community Inclusion Art Program' presents 'Hygge Moment,' a solo exhibition by Macao artist Au Ieong Un Nam.
Urbanites are caught up in a rat-race. Students strive for academic achievement; youth fight for their future; adults struggle to earn a living; and elders are concerned about their health.
This exhibition explores the question: When was the last time you paused to appreciate the beauty of life? 'When feeling down or powerless,' shares the artist, 'I pick up my pen to record little things in this lovely city and moments of love and being loved.'
The exhibition invites visitors to embrace a moment of 'Hygge'—a sense of cozy contentment—to recharge and move on.
Born in Macao. As a child, to stay awake in class, she began sketching things she was fond of on her workbooks. This was the beginning of her artistic journey, progressing from workbooks to drawing paper and then to canvas, where she gently releases her emotions. She adopted her first cat in 2011, and now has five, collectively called '5BO' (5 Precious). They are her inspiration and best stress-buster.
