This summer, head to Lisboeta Macau for the "Chibi Maruko-chan: Guo Chao Fantasy Journey (Macau Station)" exhibition! Running from early August to early October, this exhibition invites you into a wonderful cultural feast.
The exhibition combines the beloved character Chibi Maruko-chan, the trendy "Guo Chao" (national trend) style, and intangible cultural heritage to create 11 spectacular scenes, perfect for creating unforgettable memories with family and friends.
Explore the "Peach Blossom Restaurant" with its dim sum and Maruko-themed decorations, and don't miss the fun ball pool shaped like a steamer basket—a must-visit photo spot. At the "Chibi Maruko-chan Clothing Store," pose with Maruko and her friends dressed in traditional Chinese outfits, and try DIY heat-transfer printing to create a unique souvenir.
Stroll down "Guo Chao Street" and "Fantasy Alley," filled with Guo Chao neon art, shadow puppetry, and blue-and-white porcelain Maruko installations, immersing you in the charm of contemporary Chinese culture. The "Dreamy Chinese Garden," bursting with少女心 (girlish charm), features ancient-style kites and AR interactive installations showcasing magical scenes of Maruko with flying dragons.
Visit "Grandpa's Tea Room" to admire artwork of Maruko made from tea leaves and deepen your understanding of Chinese tea culture. The "Bilibala Lantern Festival" area is filled with lanterns and giant lantern displays, offering unique cultural experiences like a wishing plaque vending machine and paper-cutting performances.
Finally, be sure to capture memories at the "Photo Zone" and try ancient games at the "Guo Chao Fun Game Experience Zone." Before you leave, stop by the "Exclusive Limited-Edition Souvenir Shop" at the exit for exquisite Maruko-themed Guo Chao merchandise, allowing you to take home a piece of this fantastic journey.
