Program Description

Forget Shakespeare, forget art, forget lofty theories—what can we talk about on stage? How about Harry Potter, Queen Beyoncé, dinosaurs, and zombies!

Chalk is a heartwarming production specially created for children aged 8 and above. With just two pieces of chalk, two witty actors use physical movement, dance, and conversation to raise a series of questions: What distinguishes each of us—our background, accent, experiences, or future? Most importantly, a friendly reminder: not everyone loves 'fries'! Scotland's Curious Seed Theatre is renowned for using avant-garde physical theatre to broaden audiences' horizons and inspire new ways of thinking. Since its founding in 2005, the company has toured worldwide. This time, they bring the family-friendly dance theatre piece Chalk, inviting you to jump and draw to rhythmic music, open your heart, and enjoy a guaranteed mix of laughter and heartfelt moments.
