About the Exhibition

Candida Höfer is considered one of the most significant conceptual photographers of the latter half of the 20th century. Her most renowned photographic works employ a frontal, orthogonal perspective to gaze into the interiors of empty public buildings. These images are printed as large-scale works measuring 2.59 meters wide by 2 meters high, primarily depicting Western cultural architecture from different periods and styles. Many of her recent works feature buildings designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize laureates.
