【Shi Lu: Life Brings Me New Ideas, I Convey the Spirit of Life】
Our lives have been impacted by the pandemic, which may have caused us worry. Yet, if we look up, the sky is still blue. Just like the master painter Mr. Shi Lu, who, even amidst adversity, maintained an indomitable and persevering spirit, creating works that have been celebrated through the ages. The Macao Museum of Art is currently exhibiting over 150 works by Mr. Shi Lu, encompassing creations from different stages of his life. The exhibition also includes sketches, manuscripts, and preparatory drafts from the creation process of his classic works, aiming to clearly reflect the evolution of his subject matter under the era's context and the unique style formed through his artistic journey.
We will introduce Mr. Shi Lu's distinctive works in three parts, exploring the pastoral idylls, the waters of the Yellow River, and portraits of people in his paintings. Get to know this legendary and talented painter who sought new ideas from life and expressed a positive spirit of living through his art.
