"The Daily Love – Three Years of Seasons" is a continuation of the "Daily Love" series. This exhibition presents a collection of works by Hong Kong photographer Chan Wai Kong, offering a pure and candid expression of his reflections on self, life, and love since the beginning of his career. It encompasses a range of personal emotions experienced in adulthood, including loneliness, cynicism, desire, familial love, romance, friendship, and narcissism.
Over three hundred hand-printed black-and-white photographs fill the exhibition space from top to bottom and left to right, creating a powerful visual impact. Both the good and the bad are presented as unadorned parts of his life and thoughts. In terms of language and visuals, the excessive honesty and explicitness may not be superficially accepted by society, where people often hide their most sincere truths. In this exhibition, you can witness Chan Wai Kong's most genuine and naked presentation to you.
During the exhibition period, the second-floor toilet at Ox Warehouse will be transformed into a darkroom. Chan Wai Kong will be developing photographs in the darkroom every Saturday afternoon. Interested individuals are welcome to participate. One person will be selected to inherit the darkroom printing tools, which will be gifted upon completion of the residency program.
