As part of the 'Art Macao' series of events, the 'Art, Appreciation, Inheritance' series exhibition presents a comprehensive artistic experience. From June 13 to October 31, 2019, seven unique exhibitions with distinct themes and styles were held across multiple venues, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in art.

Featured Exhibition: 'Secret Realm' – Gauguin's 'Corner of the Garden'

To coincide with 'Art Macao,' Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM) extended the 'Art, Appreciation, Inheritance' series. The inaugural exhibition, 'Secret Realm,' featured the masterpiece 'Corner of the Garden' by the Post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin.

About the Artist: Paul Gauguin

Deeply inspired by Impressionism, Paul Gauguin's artistic explorations also bridged the origins of Symbolism. In his life's journey, he abandoned a lucrative career for art, choosing a nomadic and often turbulent existence marked by poverty, anxiety, and loss. In his relentless search for an artistic utopia, he spared no expense to reach remote lands rich with primitive essence.
