The Taipa Village Cultural Association and the Ark of Macau Art Association jointly present the Art Kaleidoscope 2018 Student Exhibition. This showcase features paintings and handicrafts created by students from three different media workshops. Taking the kaleidoscope as its theme, the exhibition uses painting, printmaking, and English calligraphy to express each participant's unique vision, employing various materials and techniques. The event aims to encourage the public to engage with the world of painting and integrate artistic creation into daily life. The resulting works present diverse scenes, as colorful and varied as a kaleidoscope itself.
The "Art Kaleidoscope" program uses painting as its core, integrating different elements to plan innovative art activities. By promoting new forms of artistic creation, it seeks to cultivate and enhance public interest and understanding of art. The goal is to break the traditional notion that art is something to be admired from afar but not engaged with, bringing art into daily life and the community. The program creates a space where the public can approach and learn about art in a relaxed and enjoyable manner, using art integration as a method for popular art education, with the hope of fostering an artistic atmosphere within the community.
Three different types of art creation workshops were held. Through artistic exchange and idea stimulation in these workshops, participants developed their own thoughts and styles. The completed works were selected for this culminating exhibition, publicly displaying the participants' creations. This demonstrates that artistic creation is not exclusive to "artists"—anyone willing to try and unleash their creativity can be an artist.
