Art Awakening is a student exhibition organized by the Creative Industries Promotion Association of St. Lazarus Parish and the Old Ladies' House Art Space (Fantasia 10).
This exhibition features works by students from the Visual Arts Programme of the Macao Polytechnic University's School of Arts. The exhibition showcases approximately 40 pieces across five major artistic disciplines, enriched with various media, including tactile art.
"Art Awakening" explores the perennial question: What is art? After years of engagement, we propose that artistic creation is akin to speaking or singing—an innate human ability to express and share emotions. Art offers diverse methods of expression. Within its ever-changing world, we can discover unique experiences and joys. By noticing the beauty around us and immersing ourselves in creation, the light of art within us ignites. This process brings spiritual fulfillment and can illuminate those around us. "Everyone harbors a unique artistic world within." Through art, we seek to rediscover our understanding and perspective of it, ultimately finding a new world within ourselves.
