Exhibition Overview
AP81 'Origin Tales' is a joint exhibition by Macau artists Wang Yaping and Leong Wai Lap. The exhibition showcases approximately 16 works, including prints and mixed-media three-dimensional pieces, exploring the theme of 'original intention' and the artists' journeys in creating their unique character designs.

Wang Yaping
Wang Yaping's work features a unique 'eye' character design, representing 'Love Life' and 'Be Yourself'. Her creations are the result of personal exploration, developed step-by-step without an initial goal of becoming a prototype artist or toy designer.

Artist Biographies
Wang Yaping
- Born in Macau.
- Graduated from the University of Saint Joseph (Postgraduate Diploma in Education).
- Graduated from the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (Arts Administration Course).
- Graduated from Macao Polytechnic Institute (Bachelor of Visual Arts).
- Actively participates in and curates handicraft markets, art exhibitions, and competition events.
- Current Positions:
- Chairperson, Macau Handicraft and Creative People Association.
- Project Manager, Border Tree Culture and Art Co. Ltd.
- Vice Chairperson, 37 Degrees Art and Culture Cooperative.
- Vice Chairperson, Macau International Print Art Research Centre.
- Director, Macau Visual Arts Teachers Association.
- Illustrator for Thirty-seven Degrees.
- Founder of CCLOVETHINK.
- Passionate about promoting cultural arts and various handicraft techniques.
Leong Wai Lap
- Born in Macau in 1991.
- Graduated from Macao Polytechnic Institute in 2015 (Visual Arts Education, major in Printmaking).
- Graduated from National Taiwan Normal University in 2017 (Master of Fine Arts, major in Western Painting).
- Awards & Recognitions:
- Best Creation Award (Western Painting Category), 31st Macau Annual Art Exhibition.
- Top Ten Outstanding Works (Western Media Category), Macau Visual Arts Annual Exhibition 2016.
