The exhibition uniquely displays both the original copperplate and the final print on paper for each artist, offering a complete view of the creative process. It aims to enhance public understanding of the artistic characteristics of copperplate etching and to inspire local artists to further explore, innovate, and develop printmaking art.
The creation of copperplate prints often involves etching techniques. Etching involves incising lines directly into a copper plate or using a mordant to create grooves. Ink is then applied into these recessed lines, and the image is transferred onto paper using a printing press.
