Since opening in 1999, the Macao Museum of Art has collected – via acquisition, donations, exhibitions and awards – a series of abstract paintings by Macao artists. The museum now has a rich collection that fully reflects the creative journey of Macao’s abstract artists, many of whom show in their work a blend of Chinese and Western cultural influences.
The painting techniques featured in this exhibition are diverse, including use of ink, hybrid techniques, integrated ready-made objects, oils, and acrylics.
