Imagine the vast, deep starry sky as a cup of leisurely afternoon coffee—something to be savored slowly, allowing one to feel the power of celestial movement and marvel at the ingenuity of nature.
Today, the bright constellations have been obscured by urban lights, making it difficult to enjoy the pleasure of a natural starry night sky with our naked eyes. Macao is no exception. On a lucky night, you might look up and see the moon accompanied by a few faint stars. The artist hopes to use her hands and paints to transport those living in the concrete jungle into the realm of the starry sky—a place for imagination, rest, and spiritual recharging before setting out again.
This exhibition, themed around the starry night, marks Wong Fong Ying's first solo show. It features 26 pieces of 2D paintings and 3D works created between 2014 and 2015.
