The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) has long been committed to nurturing local fashion illustration talent by offering a series of "Fashion Drawing" courses and organizing the "Macau Fashion Illustration Art Competition." This initiative aims to promote this essential skill and foster the popularization of artistic creation.
Fashion illustration is the first step in a fashion designer's creative process. Designers conceptualize garment details, using rich imagination and diverse techniques to depict and outline the style, texture, and atmosphere of the clothing. They then apply vibrant colors before selecting suitable fabrics and accessories based on the designed patterns, lines, and styles, proceeding to pattern making and finally, sewing. Therefore, fashion illustration is a fundamental skill for aspiring fashion designers.
The 5th "Macau Fashion Illustration Art Competition" is now open for entries. This year's theme is "The Five Flavors of Life." The competition is divided into a Student Category and an Open Category. There is no limit to the number of entries per person. Interested participants can register and submit their works from now until May 28. The first 50 registrants will receive a special commemorative gift.
