Event Overview
The 30th Community Chest Millions Walk, a major charity walkathon, will be held on December 8, 2013. This event aims to raise funds for community welfare and is organized by the Macao Daily News Readers' Charity Foundation.
Event Details
- Date: December 8, 2013
- Start Time: 10:00 AM
- Route: The 3-kilometer walk starts near the Guanyin Statue on Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-sen, proceeds along Rua de S. Tiago da Barra, and finishes at Barra Square in front of A-Ma Temple.
- Duration: Approximately 50 minutes to complete the walk.
- Assembly Point: Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the forecourt of the Macao Science Center. Participants must arrive by 9:30 AM. Group participants must arrive by 9:15 AM.
Registration & Donation Fees
Registration and donation collection begin immediately. The participation fees are as follows:
- Students: MOP 10 per person
- Individuals: MOP 50 per person
- Associations/Government Bodies (40 people): MOP 2,000 (additional participants: MOP 50 each)
- Sponsors (30 people): MOP 3,000 (additional participants: MOP 50 each)

- Tai Fung Bank (Head Office and all branches)
- Luso International Banking (Head Office and all branches)

- Macao Daily News Readers' Charity Foundation Office (11th Floor, Macao Daily News Building, No. 218A Avenida de Venceslau de Morais)
Important Notes
- Students can register through their schools.
- Cheques should be made payable to "澳門日報讀者公益基金會" (Macao Daily News Readers' Charity Foundation) and sent to the foundation's office.
- The bank donation deadline is December 4, 2013, but the foundation accepts donations year-round.
- Participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Participants are advised to use public transportation. Bus routes 3A, 8, 10A, 12, and 17 serve the assembly area.
- Follow instructions from event staff, walk at a gentle pace, and look out for one another.
- Medical personnel will be on standby. Stop walking if you feel unwell and seek their assistance.
- Please keep the city clean and do not litter.
Entertainment Along the Route
Enjoy performances along the walk, including:
- Lion and dragon dance troupes from the Amateur Sports Association
- The Police Band and school bands playing music at designated points
- Drunken Dragon performance by the Fresh Fish Traders' Association
