The art of painting and calligraphy enjoys sound development in Macau, showcasing the city's unique cultural fusion of East and West. Now in its 29th year, the Collective Exhibition of Macau Artists has long served as a premier platform for presenting masterpieces of Chinese painting, Western painting, and Chinese calligraphy to the public.
This year, 54 outstanding works were selected by a distinguished jury from 265 submissions. The final exhibition includes 18 Chinese paintings, 19 Western paintings, and 17 Chinese calligraphy works.
Each year, the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) invites veteran artists and critics from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau to form the jury. This ensures a diverse range of professional insights and artistic perspectives. To maintain objectivity and fairness, jury members do not serve consecutive years.
