Every mid-April, Myanmar celebrates the Water Splashing Festival to welcome the New Year, where people splash water on each other to send blessings and farewell to the old. Many who have moved to Macau have brought this tradition to the city, making it one of Macau's signature annual celebrations. The 'Grand Water Splashing Carnival' held on April 28 continues to be the highlight of the festival. Besides enjoying the fun of water splashing, visitors and residents can also visit the 'Myanmar and Southeast Asian Food and Culture Street' at Rotunda de Carlos da Maia (Three Lamps District), which features 15 food stalls offering specialty delicacies.
