The 2025 Macau International Light Festival, themed 'Light Painting · Future', uses light as a brush to paint the future. Featuring 28 light installations, interactive installations, and light decorations, along with light projection shows, the festival highlights Macau's key identities: the Historic Centre of Macau and its status as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. The vibrant installations and performances create multiple luminous playgrounds for residents and visitors, while also serving as a platform for exchange between international and local Macau artists, showcasing the harmonious light of Macau's multiculturalism and painting a new chapter for Macau's brilliant future. During the event, various pop-up activities and workshops will be held to enhance the festive atmosphere.

- Light & Interactive Installations across three main zones:
- Nam Van District: Theme 'Starlight · Voyage'. Locations: White Tent, Long Corridor (connecting Nam Van Lake Water Sports Centre and Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre), Nam Van Lake Water Sports Centre, Nam Van Lake surface.
- Northern District: Theme 'Gorgeous Light · Playground'. Locations: Oriental Coast Leisure Area, Ferreira do Amaral Garden, Fai Chi Kei North Bay Leisure Area.
- Zona Nova de Aterros do Porto Exterior (New Reclamation Area): Theme 'Flowing Light · Party'. Locations: Around the Grand Prix Museum (Rua de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, Rua de Xiamen, Rua de Nagasaki).
- Light Projection Shows at the Grand Prix Museum (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM, every 15 minutes, each show approx. 6 minutes).
- New Reclamation Area Carnival on January 1-4 & 9-11 (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM).
- 'Light Up Macau' Shuttle Bus Service on January 1-4 & 9-11 (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM, every 30 minutes). Routes: Route 1: Macau Square → Grand Prix Museum; Route 2: Grand Prix Museum → Nam Van White Tent → Oriental Coast.
- 'Colorful Christmas New Reclamation Area' - The area from Guangzhou Street to Beijing Street transforms into an open Christmas-themed street with six large Christmas light decorations and photo spots. Weekends feature interactive experiences like parade performances, Santa meet-and-greets, game booths, and workshops.
