About the Exhibition

Fashion is a tribute to aesthetics and an expression of beauty. Clothing dances at the forefront of trends, and fashion designers are the pioneers of style. They find inspiration in the natural world, skillfully blending it with their personal vision to give new meaning to fashion and offer avant-garde interpretations. The stories behind the creations—the unspoken struggles and countless revisions before a piece is unveiled—intriguingly draw fashion enthusiasts to explore.

In recent years, cultural and creative industries have become a growing social focus. Macao Fashion Gallery has been dedicated to promoting the development of the local fashion industry. In 2021, it continues to host the 'Brand Stories: Macao Original Fashion Exhibition.' Through an open call and selection process, promising local original brands are chosen to grow and develop on the Fashion Gallery's platform, helping Macao's fashion scene flourish and diversify.

Exhibition Structure

The 'Brand Stories' exhibition is divided into eight phases, each featuring one brand. The eight brands selected by a professional panel are:

Phase 1 kicks off with the youthful and sweet Nega C., followed by the comfortable and stylish women's shoe brand Lexx Moda in Phase 2. Phase 3 features ANIFA with its tech-infused sportswear suits, and Phase 4 presents Common Comma, exuding an elegant and casual vibe. Phase 5 showcases PUI with its edgy, personality-driven designs, while Phase 6 highlights the capable and intellectual Demi*D. Phase 7 features the eclectic and individualistic NO.42, and the final phase concludes with the avant-garde, high-end style of C/W COLLECTIVE.

Featured Brand: Nega C. – Theme: Spring

This collection is specially designed to welcome the new year. As 2020 was an exceptionally challenging year, the hope is for a fresh start in 2021.

The series draws on Chinese-inspired design elements, integrating traditional cheongsam (qipao) styles with modern fashion. It blends the concepts of tradition and modernity, presenting an elegant and graceful new image of the Eastern woman, while adding a beautiful sense of ritual to traditional New Year celebrations.
