The "Community Consumption Fun" series for the year includes three community consumption festivals:
- 2017 Colorful Islands Consumption Carnival (July 22 – October 15)
- 2017 Central-Southern District Consumption Carnival (September 30 – December 31)
- 2017 Northern District Consumption Carnival (October 13, 2017 – January 12, 2018)
Over 1,700 participating merchants will offer more than 1,300 shopping discounts to residents and tourists.
2017 Colorful Islands Consumption Carnival
This event is now active. Consumers can scan the QR codes at participating stores to receive electronic coupons. Additional activities include:
- Consumption Feedback Lucky Draw (September 23 & 30, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM at Rua do Cunha & Rua Direita Carlos Eugenio in Taipa)
- Scan Code for Gifts (September 23 & 30, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM at Carmo Fair in Taipa & Largo do Pagode do Patane)
- Lucky Wheel (July 22 – October 15, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM at Carmo Fair in Taipa & next to Taipa Flower City Park on Saturdays and Sundays)
- Street Culture Performances (September 24, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM at Carmo Fair in Taipa & Largo do Pagode do Patane)
