Event Overview
The much-anticipated Macao Light Festival returns to the city! This year's edition introduces innovative light projection technology, moving beyond simple building projections to include interactive elements and light-and-music performances, guiding you on a beautiful nocturnal tour of Macao's streets.
Theme & Highlights
The festival, themed "Treasure of Light," features multiple light projection mapping shows:
- "Embarkation" at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre
- "Inheritance" at the Mandarin's House
- "Source of Water" at Lilau Square
- "Continuation" at the A-Ma Temple Square
Interactive Elements & Installations
- Interactive games at various scenic spots, including "Prayer to Heaven" with seesaws and "Lost Gemstones" played via a mobile app.
- Numerous light installations such as "Treasure Lake," "Light Graffiti," "Neon Drawing," and "Dreamy Handicraft Street."
New Mobile App
A new "Treasure of Light" mobile app adds AR and selfie elements. It includes event routes, schedules, themed games, and the latest news. Available in Traditional Chinese and English, it can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play.

- Opening Ceremony: All activities at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre commence after the opening ceremony on December 4 at 7:30 PM.
- Light & Music Performances: Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and on December 8, 20, 21, and 26 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM (10-minute performances every half hour) at Nam Van‧Yat Yuen Lake.
