2015 Second Half Volunteer Traveler Program Now Open for Applications
Over the past few months, many Volunteer Travelers have successfully applied to participate in local volunteer camps in different Asian countries. In July and August, everyone will set off one after another, volunteering while traveling through different cultures. A new round of volunteer camps has been updated. Key Information
- Target Participants: Macau residents aged 18 and above
- Time: August to December 2015, duration from 3 to 30 days
- Location: Various locations across Asia, including Mainland China, Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Nepal, India, etc.
- Application Fee: MOP 1500 for non-members, MOP 1300 for members
- Additional Costs: Participants are responsible for their own transportation, insurance, etc. Local organizations provide accommodation and meals. Camps in non-developed areas may charge a certain camp fee.
Application Process in 5 Steps

- Understand the complete application process, including application methods, specific fee terms, and preparation matters before departure. Please read carefully!
- Download Attachment 2: International Workcamp List
- In the volunteer camp list, you can choose one or several camps based on your interests, abilities, and time, and fill out the application form in Attachment 3.
- Please note that camp information is constantly updated. Your chosen camp may be full or canceled. Therefore, please submit as many choices as possible in the application form to shorten the reallocation time.
- Download Attachment 3: MNCYA_Application form_OUTGOING
- Refer to the sample form in the application, fill it out in detail, and read the Terms carefully. Submitting the form means you fully agree to the terms.
- After completing the form, send it to the association's email [email protected] with the subject "International Volunteer Camp Application – [Your Name]". You will receive a confirmation SMS within 3 days.
- Pay the Application Fee
- Within 7 days of submitting the application form, go to the Macau New Chinese Youth Association office (Shop I, G/F, Yau Luen Building, No. 7 Rua de João de Almeida, Macau) to pay the fee.
- The volunteer camp matching process will begin immediately after receiving the application form and fee.
- Prepare for Departure
- Upon successful matching, you will receive an acceptance email and a detailed camp information sheet from the association, and you can start planning your trip.
- You also need to complete and submit your flight schedule and insurance policy copy to the association via email.
- Before departure and during participation, please stay in contact with our staff and your assigned camp coordinator.
- Get ready to set off!
Important Notes
- Participating in foreign volunteer camps may present various "challenges". Applicants are advised to understand the relevant situation of the country/region they wish to visit before applying.
- If necessary, you can consult the Macau Tourism Crisis Management Office or refer to the Hong Kong Security Bureau's "Outbound Travel Alert" system.
