The inspiration for this work comes from the artist's experience of being taken aside to have her books inspected at customs control during a transfer in Quanzhou, upon returning from her residency in Macao. This encounter sparked curiosity and led to the euphemism of an 'invitation to tea'. The exhibition, titled "Tea Room," aims to construct a conversational space. Artist Elin (Zhang Shuxian) will use her personal experience to initiate a dialogue with the audience, posing questions to discuss the situation and perplexities of the younger generation in today's Information Age.
