For mountain lovers who rarely have the chance to appreciate the beauty of high-altitude winter scenery. Snow-covered mountains, while not appearing particularly treacherous, are full of hidden dangers. This course provides foundational safety training and is the best introductory course for snow skills. The basic and advanced courses are primarily held in Japan. The basic course includes stays in comfortable Japanese mountain lodges, offering delicious meals and heating. Accommodations are mostly at altitudes between 2000 and 2400 meters, so participants don't need to worry about altitude sickness and can focus on technical training. There is ample time for practice and skill consolidation, making it very suitable for first-time snow mountain climbers.
The snow mountain climbing curriculum is divided into three parts: Basic, Advanced, and High-level. Participants can progress through all three courses sequentially. For safety and more effective learning, the course is conducted in small groups, allowing for ample interaction between coaches and participants. Snow technical equipment is available for rent (purchasing your own is best), which can reduce the financial burden for some participants.
Student-to-Coach Ratio: Small class teaching (coach-to-student ratio 1:4–6)
The course does not require extremely high physical fitness. The overall focus is on adapting to snow travel, operating technical equipment, and self-arrest techniques. On summit day, additional rope protection may be added based on participant conditions and needs. Participants with 100% attendance who complete the course can apply for a training certificate issued by the association.
The course includes two theory sessions, one practical session in Hong Kong, and a four-day practical session in Japan.
Course Fee: MOP $8,800 (Early bird discount: Register before November 30th to enjoy a $1,000 discount)
Important Notes: The fee includes the cost of the Macau theory sessions, Hong Kong practical session, overseas practical session coach fees, and related administrative expenses. Participants are responsible for their own overseas practical session airfare, accommodation, meals, and transportation costs.
