Macau Fu Hong Society was founded in 2003 by a group of volunteers and is a non-profit social service organization. It currently operates six service units, serving over 400 individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health recovery. The society upholds the belief that persons with disabilities enjoy all fundamental human rights and strives to provide them with various opportunities to fully utilize their personal abilities and strengths, enabling them to live independently and integrate actively into their communities.
Since 2012, through the Social Welfare Bureau's 'Employment Development Subsidy Scheme for Persons with Disabilities,' the society established its first social enterprise, 'Joyful Laundry,' aiming to provide employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and promote a spirit of mutual benefit with small and medium-sized enterprises. This year, through the 'Second Phase Employment Development Subsidy Scheme for Persons with Disabilities,' the society launched the 'Joyful Market' social enterprise. In addition to providing jobs, it incorporates concepts of 'resource recycling, resource sharing, and resource donation' to drive creative, environmentally friendly, and public welfare work, attempting to use social innovation methods to solve social problems and create social value.
Simultaneously, the 'Joyful Market' social enterprise also offers workshop classes. The newly opened Leathercraft Workshop is now recruiting participants!
We welcome the general public to sign up enthusiastically.
