Macau Fu Hong Society's social enterprise, Joy Market, is now offering a new Decoupage Workshop. This workshop is open for enrollment and welcomes public participation.
Macau Fu Hong Society was founded in 2003 by a group of volunteers and is a non-profit social service organization. It currently operates six service units, serving over 400 individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health recovery needs. The society upholds the belief that persons with disabilities enjoy all fundamental human rights and strives to provide various opportunities for them to showcase their abilities and talents, enabling them to live independently and integrate actively into the community.
Since 2012, through the Social Welfare Bureau's "Employment Development Subsidy Scheme for Persons with Disabilities," the society established its first social enterprise, "Heart Laundry." This initiative aims to provide employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and promote a spirit of mutual benefit with small and medium-sized enterprises. This year, through the "Second Phase Employment Development Subsidy Scheme for Persons with Disabilities," the society launched the "Joy Market" social enterprise. Beyond providing jobs, it incorporates concepts of resource regeneration, sharing, and gifting, driving creative, environmentally friendly, and public welfare work. It attempts to use social innovation methods to address social issues and create social value.
