Course Overview
Lacquer art refers to the craft of making lacquerware. The lacquer used in lacquerware is 'raw lacquer' extracted from the lacquer tree, known for its acid and heat resistance. It is applied to objects for its insulating effect, undergoing multiple layers of coating before being polished and burnished to become the final lacquerware.
